Previously, on the morning of August 8, while fishing in the Truong Sa waters, about 100 nautical miles from Nam Yet Island, fisherman Nguyen Duc Quoc of trawler GL 98378 TS developed right-sided paralysis, experiencing facial drooping and difficulty moving his limbs.

By 7 a.m. on August 9, his condition had worsened. Trawler GL 98378 TS transported him to Nam Yet Island in rough sea and strong winds.

On the afternoon of August 10, the patient was admitted to Nam Yet Infirmary. He was conscious, had a mild fever, and experienced weakness on the right side of his body.

Doctors and medical staff promptly examined the patient and assessed his overall condition. They diagnosed him with a stroke causing hemiplegia and developed an appropriate treatment plan.

The infirmary consulted doctors from Military Hospital 103 and Military Hospital 175. The patient was given medications to protect brain cells, control blood pressure, reduce fever, and treat dyslipidemia. His respiratory status, hemodynamics, consciousness, and blood circulation were also closely monitored.

After the initial treatment, the patient is currently in stable condition. Doctors continue to monitor and assess his condition so that timely intervention can be provided if necessary.
