Border guards assist Vien in cleaning up the road to her home

At 4:00 a.m on August 16, a house of Mr. Vang Thin Dung (born in 1980) in Ma Sao Pho village, Nghia Thuan commune, Quan Ba district was damaged by a landslide triggered by heavy rains.

After receiving the information, the Nghia Thuan commune Border Guard Command sent 15 troops to the scene to help move the victims and their property to a safer place.

The troops also inquired after locals’ health and supported them in overcoming difficulties to early stabilize their lives.

On the same day, the border unit also assisted Mrs. San Thi Vien from Coc Puc village, Nghia Thuan commune in cleaning up the road to her home so that her family could transport construction materials to build a new house.

According to Colonel Nguyen Huu Thuy, the unit is always ready to help the locals deal with consequences of possible natural disasters, including floods, in the future.
