On the occasion, the board, in coordination with other military units, including the Defense Ministry’s Military Social Insurance, Military Youth Advisory Board, Commission on Population and Development, Military Region 2, Van Xuan General Import - Export Company, etc. handed over gratitude houses and 190 lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to local needy women and students.

They also visited policy households and presented gifts to troops of Xin Man Border Post (Ha Giang provincial Border Guard Command), among others. The total cost of the program was nearly VND 500 million.

During the event, the Military Women Advisory Board and other units expressed their hope that the needy and policy households would overcome difficulties so as to develop local economy, contributing to building firm provincial political system and defensive area.
