Representatives of the Women’s Union organization of the People’s Army Newspaper present a savings book and a gift to Nguyen Ngoc Anh Tho in Tra On district, Vinh Long province.

The savings book presentation was in the framework of the program “Godmothers” launched by the GDP with an attempt to help these children rise in life to become good citizens.

In particular, savings books, worth VND 5 to 10 million each, were handed over to five children in Tra On district, Vinh Long province, and a child in Tra Cu district, Tra Vinh province.

Of the recipients, Nguyen Ngoc Anh Tho in Vinh Long province and Lam Thi Thuy Van in Tra Vinh province received savings books, valued at VND 10 million each, from the Women’s Union chapter of the People’s Army Newspaper.

On behalf of the sponsors, Major Le Thanh Tuyen, Chairwoman of the People’s Army Newspaper’s Women’s Union, said that right after the launch of the GDP’s “Godmothers” program, Women’s Union organizations of the GDP disseminated information, and called on their members to donate money to the program.

Major Tuyen hoped that this love-spreading activity for orphaned children due to COVID-19 will receive more support from “Godmothers” of Women’s Union chapters at all levels, giving them more strength and better caring conditions.
