Yen Do was the venue for the first training course for logistics officers of the Vietnam People's Army, the predecessor of the Military Logistics Academy today. The visit was a practical and meaningful activity to mark the academy’s 72nd founding anniversary (June 15, 1951 - 2023).
Earlier, on the occasion of its 50th founding anniversary, the academy started construction of a memorial stele of the first refresher class in Khuon Long village, Yen Do commune, Phu Luong district. The construction was inaugurated on December 15, 2000. On June 15, 2021, during the academy’s 70th founding anniversary, the historical site was recognized as the national relic site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
