Military hospital saves a teenager with serious injuries
PANO - Military Hospital 175 recently performed an emergency operation on a young patient suffering from a critical condition.

On September 26, patient Tran Tuan Linh, aged 14, living in Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City, was hospitalized at Military Hospital 175 on account of the fact that while on his way to school, a tank truck hit him and ran over part of his abdomen, resulting in serious injuries, including internal bleeding, a broken pelvis, bladder damage, pleural effusion and two broken ribs.
After a consultation, doctors from four wards of the hospital decided to perform an immediate, emergency surgery.
The surgery took more than four hours and the patient received transfusions of one liter of blood.
He is reported to be receiving further treatment at the hospital although he is no longer in a critical condition.
