Military hospital operates advanced medical machine
PANO – Military Hospital 102 of the Logistics Department of Military Region 9 started the operation of the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system to diagnose military and civilian patients, on November 17.
The operation of the system will help the hospital raise its healthcare quality.
As the most advanced medical machine in Vietnam, the MRI scanner of American manufacturer will help the hospital discover tumors and injuries as well as diseases related to the nervous system, heart, bones and joints, so as to arrive at an accurate diagnosis of the condition and quickly determine suitable treatments to save patients’ lives.
Addressing the ceremony, Senior Colonel Phan Hong Phuc, the hospital’s director, said that during the installation and testing of the machine, the hospital received active assistance from domestic and foreign experts. The hospital’s medical personnel had been trained intensively to better master the system. He affirmed that the operation of the system will help the hospital raise its healthcare quality, making contribution to easing the burden on higher-level hospitals.
