Military-civilian ties boosted in border area
PANO – Lieutenant General Do Danh Vuong, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command led a delegation on January 25 to inspect and encourage troops of the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command, including the Border Posts of Ca Xeng, Ra Mai and Cha Lo International Border Gate.
Reportedly, over the past time, the units have closely worked with local authorities to implement their dual tasks of firmly protecting border areas and controlling the pandemic. They also contributed to the fight against crimes in border areas and carried out search and rescue missions.

Meanwhile, the Border Post of Cha Lo International Border Gate also implemented border external relations such as cooperating with Lao forces to firmly protect national borderlines.
In the coming time, General Vuong asked the border units to strictly observe directions of higher levels, maintain combat readiness, firmly protect national sovereignty, and ensure social order. They should also care for the locals’ lives and organize a happy Tet for its troops and local people.
The same day, the delegation also extended Tet greetings and presented gifts to authorities and people in the province’s Minh Hoa district.
