This was in the framework of the military-civilian Tet project which is being implemented by the Military Youth Advisory Board and units in the whole military. It takes place from January 1 to 17 in 350 remote areas, focusing on social welfare and gratitude of military youths towards local people.

On the occasion, the Military Youth Advisory Board, together with the military units, handed over nearly 200 gifts (worth VND 1 million each), and necessities to needy soldiers, defense workers, troops’ families, Youth Union members, and martyrs’ relatives, while encouraging troops on duty at sea.

During the event, troops of Naval Region 3 and local people also held an art exchange to tighten military-civilian ties, contributing to building a firm whole people’s defense posture.

* On the same day, Bac Lieu province and Hong Dan district’s People Committee held meaningful activities on the occasion of the lunar New Year 2023 in Ninh Quoi A commune, Hong Dan district.

Under the week-long program, local armed forces, social organizations and enterprises will join hands to disseminate information about the Law on Military Service, as well as the meaning of the military-civilian Tet festival.

On the occasion, they will rebuild three rural roads, build a cultural gate in Ninh Hoa hamlet, and install solar lights on four routes, upgrade a clean water station, present gratitude houses, and grant scholarships, among others. The total cost of the program is nearly VND 14 billion.
