Reportedly, the patient, named Ngo Luc, aged 51 years old, from Ward 6, Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province, experienced right-side head pain, dizziness, and slight facial drooping while working on a trawler about 80 nautical miles from Truong Sa island.

He was then brought to the island by the trawler numbered BD 98615 TS.

After examination, Ngo Luc was diagnosed as suffering from a stroke at the 40th hour, high blood pressure, and a transient ischemic attack. He was provided with timely treatment so that his health condition could improve.

However, he still experienced head and facial pain on the right side, so he was then brought to the mainland for further treatment.

According to the Naval Region 4 Command, recently, infirmaries on the islands of Truong Sa district have frequently received fishermen suffering from illnesses while fishing at sea.

Previously, on September 27, Sinh Ton Dong (Grierson Reef) Island's infirmary provided emergency treatment to three fishermen from trawler numbered BTh 97759 TS of Binh Thuan province, suffering from decompression sickness due to deep diving. The night before, on September 26, Song Tu Tay (Southwest Cay) Island's infirmary rescued fisherman Nguyen Duc Quoc, 27 years old, from trawler BD 96677 TS of Binh Dinh province, who suffered from pain on his right flank caused by ureteral stones.

In mid-September, Son Ca (Sand Cay) Island's infirmary promptly saved fisherman Nguyen Van Lanh, 50 years old, from Ly Son island district, who was brought in by trawler QNg 96509 TS with symptoms of a stroke.
