Border post hands over house to needy family
PANO - The Border Post of Lao Bao International Border Gate under the Quang Tri provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Thanh commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province to inaugurate and hand over a house to Ho A Tay's family on October 15.
It was a project in celebration of the 80th foundation anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-people Defense Festive Day.

Ho A Tay's family is a near-poor household in Ha Let village, Tan Thanh commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province. He is a war veteran with poor health conditions. After more than 2 months of construction, the house was completed and put into operation with a total cost of VND 100 million.
At the inauguration and handover ceremony, Ho A Tay was moved to express his thanks to organizations and individuals, particularly Nguyen Quoc Bao in Ho Chi Minh City, who donated VND 100 million VND, and the Border Post of Lao Bao International Border Gate for contributing working days to the construction of the house.

Addressing the event, Colonel Phan Manh Truong, Political Commissar of the Border Post of Lao Bao International Border Gate, said that in the time to come, the unit will continue to coordinate with local authorities to effectively implement the emulation movement in joining hands to remove temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025, contributing to reaching the target of reducing multidimensional poverty rate.
