Helicopter flies patient ashore for treatment
PANO – Helicopter numbered VH-8619 of Army Corps 18 on June 9 successfully flew two patients from Truong Sa island district to the mainland for treatment.
Earlier, fishermen Tran Vang (born in 1987) and Dang Truc (born in 1992) from Binh Thuan province were taken to Phan Vinh Island's infirmary as they suffered from hypertension, tiredness, and unconsciousness.
However, doctors at the island infirmary found that their health was worsening and decided that the patients should be brought ashore for further treatment.
Receiving the information, Army Corps 18 assigned a helicopter to flying the troubled fishermen to Ho Chi Minh City-based Military Hospital 175 under the Defense Ministry for further treatment.
