Helicopter brings patient ashore for treatment
PANO – Helicopter EC-225, numbered 618, of Army Corps 18, on August 13 successfully flew a patient from Son Ca Island to the mainland for treatment.
Earlier, patient Pham Huu Cuong from Phuoc Dong commune, Nha Trang city, was taken to Son Ca after being injured while fishing off the island about 75 nautical miles.

The patient was immediately hospitalized at 8:00 on August 12. Doctors at Son Ca island infirmary diagnosed his symptoms with stroke and hemiplegia, and the patient should be brought ashore for further treatment.
Receiving the information, Army Corps 18 assigned a helicopter to fly the troubled fisherman to Ho Chi Minh City-based Military Hospital 175, under the Defense Ministry for further treatment.
