Meanwhile, in the spirit of working with local people and speaking their language, military units in the South have promoted mass mobilization work, thereby strengthening grassroots political systems and spreading the good image and noble qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers. They have carried out many effective models, helping tighten the close bond between the military and people.
The GDP leader asked for stronger efforts to build a solid people’s heart posture, taking unity as the core and consensus as the goal. He emphasized that each village elder, community leader, and religious dignitary must continue to be the center of solidarity, spreading patriotism, law observance, and preventing hostile forces from causing division. They should also encourage local residents to join hands in economic development, cultural preservation, environmental protection, and climate adaptation so that no one is left behind.

Underlining the role of reputable individuals and religious dignitaries as a “bridge of trust,” Gen. Nghia suggested local authorities create more conditions for them to join community work, especially in mediation, maintaining order, cultural development, and contributing to Party building.
For military units, he requested their continued efforts in mass mobilization, poverty reduction, disaster prevention, and improving people’s living standards, especially in remote areas and among ethnic and religious communities, helping further promote the noble image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.

He also called for maximizing the exemplary role of village elders, community heads, reputable individuals, and religious dignitaries and suggested them continue encouraging people to live a good life and a good religion, strictly observe Party guidelines and State laws, preserve culture, protect the environment, join patriotic movements, fight against false and divisive arguments, and contribute to building strong defense posture.
Earlier, General Nguyen Trong Nghia and the delegation offered incense at the Hung Kings Temple in Can Tho city, visited Can Tho city-based Special School for Children with Disabilities, and worked with Security Unit 2 under the Military Security Protection Department and Regiment 917 of Air Division 370.
