On behalf of the Minister of National Defense, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), presided over the event.
The meeting was attended by leaders from various agencies of the Ministry of National Defense, the GDP, and Army Corps 15, the unit directly taking care of the visit of the Central Highlands representatives to Hanoi. During their stay, they visited President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, toured the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, and visited several Northern and Central provinces and cities.
At the meeting, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To extended greetings and presented gifts of the Ministry of National Defense to the village elders, hamlet heads, reputable individuals, and religious dignitaries. He emphasized that the Party and State, as well as local authorities across the Central Highlands, have consistently pursued policies of national great solidarity and religious unity. Numerous socio-economic development policiess have been implemented to enhance the quality of life, ensuring defense and security in the region.

The Central Highlands has seen stable political conditions, steady economic growth, and strengthened national defense and security. The quality of life for ethnic minorities and religious communities has improved, fostering stronger unity among ethnic groups and religions. These achievements owe much to the significant contribution of village elders, hamlet heads, reputable individuals, and religious dignitaries.

Regarding the national protection task in the current context, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To acknowledged the vital role played by these figures in mobilizing their communities to support the armed forces, reinforcing defense and security, and maintain social order and safety. They have proactively encouraged their families to contribute to local development, and countered the divisive tactics of hostile forces aiming to undermine national and religious unity bloc.
Lieutenant General Truong Thien To stressed that the military troops will uphold the heroic traditions of the VPA and good virtures of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, strengthen bonds with the people, and overcome challenges together.

Army Corps 15, in particular, has effectively carried out missions in its stationed area, closely collaborating with local authorities and armed forces to foster economic, cultural, and social development, reduce poverty sustainably, and promote national great unity in the Central Highlands. Lieutenant General Truong Thien To urged Army Corps 15 to continue working closely with local authorities, village elders, hamlet heads, reputable individuals, and religious dignitaries to implement Party and State policies on developing socio-economy, ensuring defense and security, and building the great national unity bloc in the time to come.
