During the event, the mission offered incense and paid floral tribute at a memorial monument in Pac San 2 hamlet, Yen Dinh commune, Cho Moi district, Bac Kan province. This place was the first establishment of the GDDI during the resistance war against French invaders.
They also laid wreaths at the memorial site “Uncle Ho with the Vietnam’s defense industry” in Dong Lan hamlet, Dong Thinh commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province.
These places were closely related to the development of the defense industry sector during the struggles for national independence and freedom. They have become meaningful addresses to educate the GDDI’s historical traditions for young troops.
Speaking at the ceremonies, General Hung recalled the heroic traditions of the defense industry sector and highlighted its achievements over the past time. He also emphasized that the general department would strive to fulfill all assigned missions, promote economic activities and ensure good income for its laborers in the coming time.
On this occasion, the mission handed over 40 gifts, worth VND 100 million totally, to national contributors and needy households in the two localities.
