In particular, the unit’s women have presented hand-made products to local people. Meanwhile, its production teams have donated part of their salary to buy gifts for those in lock-down localities and quarantine areas. The mission’s personnel have also offered around 200kg of rice, dozens of litters of cooking oil, fish sauce, salt, and spices to “Zero Dong kitchens” models.

Economic-Defense Mission 737 has deployed a medical team and an ambulance for COVID-19 testing and monitoring vaccinated people. The unit’s personnel have disinfested quarantine zones and lockdown areas in the two communes to prevent the pandemic from spreading.

Border localities in Dak Lak province, Ia Rve and Ia Lop communes stayed safe during the three waves of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam. However, the localities have recently recorded dozens of infected cases as hundreds of local people living and working in other provinces and cities returned to the localities to celebrate the lunar New Year 2022.

Amid the complicated developments of the pandemic, the People’s Committees of Ia Rve and Ia Lop communes asked around 300 people having close contact with infected cases to self-quarantine at home. In Ia Lop commune, An hamlet with 103 households is under lock-down.

Embracing difficulties and hardships confronting local people, the production teams of Economic-Defense Mission 737 inquired after locals’ health and presented dozens of gift packages to policy beneficiaries, needy households, and pandemic prevention and control forces.

Now the Covid-19 spread in the two border communes of Ia Rve and Ia Lop has been under control. Local officials and people recognized that the achievement has partly resulted from the efforts and contribution of employees of Economic-Defense Mission 737.
