Drowning person saved at sea
PANO – Captain Ho Ngoc Ly, an officer of Con Co Border Station coordinated with other forces and local people to save a girl from drowning at sea on August 21.

Accordingly, at 17:00 on August 21, local Tran Van Quan from Cua Tung town heard a call for help as a girl was drowning in the waters of Cua Tung beach (Cua Tung townlet, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province).
Without hesitation, Tran Van Quan, Captain Ho Ngoc Ly, and Tran Khanh Duy (from Vinh Long commune, Vinh Linh district) promptly jumped into the sea to save the victim.
After taking the drowning girl ashore safely, Tran Thi Le Ha, a medical staff of the Vinh Linh district medical center present at the beach gave the victim first aid with the support of police officers Major Le Hong Phong, and Captain Tran Duc Chau, First Lieutenant Dinh Xuan Cuong.
The drowning girl was then brought to the medical center for further treatment. At present, the victim’s health is stable.
