Distressed fisherman rescued at sea
PANO - Ship 739 of the Naval Squadron 129 of Saigon Newport Corporation on May 12 brought ashore safely a troubled fisherman and handed him over to the local border guard force and his family to bring him to the hospital for treatment.

Earlier, while fishing, Bui Thanh Hong, a crew member of the trawler QNg 95157-TS, captained by Bui Hau, was transferred to the infirmary in Phan Vinh Island, the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago. The patient was then diagnosed to have septicemia that needed urgent treatment.
After receiving the information, the Naval Squadron 129 sent ship 739 on duty on the Truong Sa archipelago to the Phan Vinh Island to bring the patient ashore.
After travelling for 30 hours, the Naval Squadron 129 handed the patient over to the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Border Guard Command and he was immediately referred to the Military Hospital 175 for treatment.
