Dien Bien functional forces active in searching for missing victims

Functional forces and local authorities are doing their utmost to search for and rescue missing victims and overcome the flood consequences.

The Dien Bien provincial Military Command’s troops conduct search and rescue mission.

Secretary of Dien Bien provincial Party Committee Tran Quoc Cuong was present at the scene and directed the search and rescue mission, and encouraged the victims’ relatives. He requested Dien Bien district to mobilize troops and vehicles to quickly implement search and rescue mission, and help local people overcome the disaster consequences. Meanwhile, local authorities arranged safe places for victims.

After the disaster, the Dien Bien provincial Military Command sent more than 200 troops, in coordination with militiamen and other forces, quickly conducted search and rescue mission, moved local people and their property to safer places; and supported victims’ households with cash and other necessities.

Reportedly, the total damage is estimated at about VND 32.6 billion. Dien Bien province has directed localities and functional forces to mobilize people and vehicles to rescue victims and help people stabilize their life soon.
