On behalf of the defense leaders, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs, chaired the event.
At the gathering, Mr. Phan Thanh Van, Deputy Director of the Tien Giang Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Welfare recalled the heroic history of the provincial armed forces and people during the struggle for national liberation and Fatherland protection.
He held that the provincial authority and people always overcome hardships, promote creativeness, and strive for practical outcomes in socio-economic development. The local leaders also care for national contributors and policy beneficiaries.
Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh wished the delegates good health and congratulated them on the outcomes of the provincial Party Organization, authority and people.
He also briefed delegates on outstanding outcomes of the gratitude activities of the military over the past time.
Particularly, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have directed relevant agencies to collaborate with central and local ministries and sectors to issue timely policies for martyrs and wounded soldiers, revolutionary contributors, and more.
