* The program was held by the Quang Ninh provincial Border Guard Command at the Border Post of Van Gia Port. During the event, the organization panel handed over 90 gifts to needy students and families in Vinh Trung and Vinh Thuc island communes in Mong Cai city; inaugurated a gratitude house in Vinh Thuc commune.

The program also comprised a series of activities, including a Chung cake making competition, an artistic exchange program, and providing free medical examination and medicines for over 100 local people, to name but a few.

* In Ngoc Hoi district, the Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command hosted the similar program.

Apart from a Chung cake making competition and an artistic exchange program, the organizing panel presented many meaningful gifts such as national flags, ceiling fans, breeding cows, and other necessities to local policy beneficiaries. The total cost of the gifts was more than VND 300 million.

Especially, they unveiled a communal house in Nong Kon hamlet, Dak Duc commune, Ngoc Hoi district. Notably, the local armed forces donated over VND 135 million and nearly 2,000 working days during the construction of this project.

* Meanwhile, the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command also held the program with various meaningful and practical activities, such as organizing folk games competition, running a zero-VND stall, providing free health checks-up and medicines, and presenting gifts and breeding cows to needy families and scholarships and bicycles to impoverished students with good academic records, among others.

At the same time, they held a ceremony to grant four gratitude houses to needy households and also financial packages to support poor members of the local women’s union.
