Commando force supports border women in Quang Tri province
PANO - On July 2, a delegation of the Commando Corps, led by its Deputy Political Commissar Senior Colonel Do Hoang Nhi, visited Quang Tri province to organize a program themed “Commando women stand side by side with border women” in 2023, and pay tribute to fallen soldiers on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947 - 2023).
In Trieu Ai commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province, Senior Colonel Doan Hoang Nhi and the delegation presented medical equipment to the commune’s clinic; and offered gifts to ten needy women, ten needy students with good academic results, and an orphan.

Addressing the event, Senior Colonel Doan Hoang Nhi affirmed that the program, launched by the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army, holds practical significance, contributing to realizing the movements “The military joins hands to build new-style rural areas” and “The military joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind.”
The program also contributes to raising troops’ awareness of and responsibility towards the community, thereby promoting the beautiful image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the current context.
Via the program, the troops want to share difficulties with local people, encouraging them to overcome difficulties and stabilize their life.

* On the occasion, the delegation offered incense to pay tribute to war martyrs at the Truong Son National War Cemetery, Road 9 National War Cemetery, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.
They also visited and presented gifts to commando veteran Nguyen Xuan Cu in Trieu Trung commune, Trieu Phong district.
