Coast Guard Region 2 presents gratitude house to needy serviceman
PANO - On June 25, in 2 Yen Thang hamlet, Hoa Lac commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command and Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund held an inauguration ceremony to hand over a gratitude house to the family of non-commissioned Captain Nguyen Ngoc Linh, a driver of Coast Guard Region 2.
The ceremony was attended by Senior Colonel Tran Hong Que, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2; Nguyen Tran Chau, Deputy Head of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund; and Chief of the "For Beloved Hoang Sa (Paracel) - Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelagoes" Club.
The house, nearly 120 sq.m in area and valued at almost VND 700 million, was built with funds raised by the family, including VND 80 million contributed by Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and sponsor Hoang Trong Hai, an independent distributor of Herbalife Nutrition Group. After more than three months of construction, the house was completed on schedule.
On this occasion, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command also presented an air conditioning set, worth VND 10 million, to Captain Nguyen Ngoc Linh's family.
