Coast Guard Region 1 and Hai Hau district's Party Committee present gifts to policy beneficiaries and fishermen.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Tran Van Hau, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 1, said that the program aimed to encourage local people to strictly observe the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and law, and disseminate information among troops, youths, students and people to raise their awareness of protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands, and building strong whole-people national defense.

In the framework of the program, a range of meaningful activities took place, including dissemination activities about the coast guard force and the situation of national sea and islands, incense offering ceremony at Thinh Long townlet War Cemetery, the contest “I love national sea and islands,” presenting 100 gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiaries, and needy fishermen in the locality.

Meanwhile, the organizing panel presented 30 bicycles and 30 gift packages to disadvantaged students with excellent academic results, distributed leaflets to disseminate information about illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing prevention and the Vietnam Coast Guard Law, and handed over 1,000 national flags to fishermen.
