Military units and local authorities to implement “Coast guards stand side by side with fishermen” program

The Standing Board of Bac Lieu provincial Party Committee attends the conference.

At the conference, both sides agreed cooperation contents, including promoting disseminating information about Party’s guidelines and State’s laws as well as law education among locals; building a firm political system in the area; supporting locals to develop socio-economy and reduce poverty while building the new-styled rural areas, and implementing gratitude activities, contributing to raising troops’ living standards; helping fishermen go fishing at seas, so as to protect national security and sovereignty over sea and islands, to name but a few.

On the occasion, the Vietnam Coast Guard handed over 200 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to policy households, ethnic minority groups, and fishermen in Bac Lieu province.

After the signing ceremony, about 200 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, was handed over to needy and policy people in the province.
