According to Senior Colonel Le Huy Sinh, Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, the “Coast guards stand by fishermen” and “Proud National Flag” programs are important activities which both help fishermen and boost coordination with relevant forces’ efforts in safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands, thus encouraging fishermen to keep fishing at sea to ensure sustainable economic development.
