Coast guard force accompanies fishermen in Bach Long Vi
PANO - As part of the activities in response to the Youth Month 2024, on March 12 and 13, the Special Group for Drug Crime Prevention No.1 under the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, in collaboration with Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital (Hai Phong City), organized various social welfare activities in Bach Long Vi island district.
Within the framework of the program, the doctors and medical staff from the participating units provided healthcare services to over 200 residents of the district, including disadvantaged fishermen and children.

The activities included medical consultations on screening test for internal diseases, general ultrasound examinations, screening test for thyroid disorders, and common illnesses, as well as providing essential medications and instructions on their usage.
Additionally, the organizers distributed nearly 300 leaflets on the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control, conducted communication campaigns to raise awareness of healthcare for women and children in general, particularly those in difficult circumstances.

On the occasion, officers and Youth Union members from various units offered incense and flowers to express gratitude to the heroic martyrs at the Bach Long Vi Island district War Cemetery. They also launched a youth club in the island district and organized a beach cleaning program to contribute to preserving the local marine environment.
