Border troops active in assisting flood-hit localities
PANO - Prolonged heavy rain over the past day in Laos’ Borikhamxay province has caused severe losses for flood-hit people in Khamkheut district.
Reportedly, landslides occurred at Dat pass on National Highway No.8, about 80km of Cau Treo International Border Gate, Ha Tinh province. Vietnamese vehicles and people here could not move in the area.

In this case, the Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with local authorities, and Lao functional forces, have implemented search and rescue operations, and provided food supplies to the people here.

* Meanwhile, in the two communes of Muong Ai and Muong Tip, Ky Son district, Nghe An province, heavy rain has caused landslides and made it impossible for vehicles to move.
