Coast Guard Region 2 presents gifts to flood-hit people in Quang Ngai
PANO – The Coast Guard Region 2 Command in association with the Commission for Mass Mobilization under the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee co-held a program to present gifts to families who severely affected by the recent floods in the communes of Tra Tan and Tra Bui of Tra Bong district.
The Coast Guard Region 2 Command handed over 200 sets of gifts, each including VND 1 million in cash and a box of instant noodle, to the local families.

The gifts displayed sentiment and care of the coast guard region’s troops for disadvantaged people.
Reportedly, heavy rain in recent days has caused severe damage to people and properties in the mountainous district of Tra Bong. According to the district’s Department for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue, the total damage in the district caused by the storm was estimated at more than 10 billion VND. The whole district has 25 landslide sites on roads, seriously affecting people's travel and causing heavy damage to the State’s property.
