Border people in Cao Bang province provided with free health checkups
PANO – The Department of Military Medicine under the General Department of Logistics, in coordination with the Cao Bang provincial Health Department and Border Guard Command, held the opening ceremony of a program to provide free health checkups and medicines to people on April 16 in Tra Linh townlet, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province.
The program, organized for the second time in Cao Bang province, is part of the seventh Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange, said Deputy Chief of the Department of Military Medicine Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Giang. Especially, it is to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the establishment of the military medicine sector (April 16, 1946 - 2022).

Senior Colonel Giang affirmed that the activity holds important meaning, contributing to the success of the seventh Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange while showing the military's responsibility and sentiments towards local people and authorities. Especially, people will have their samples taken for COVID-19 testing to soon detect SARS-CoV-2 so as to curb the spread of the pandemic in the locality.

The delegation includes medical personnel from Central Military Hospital 108, Military Hospital 103, Military Hospital 354, Military Hospital 110 and Military Hospital 91 (Military Region 1), Military Preventive Medicine Institute, among others.

As scheduled, from April 16 to 20, the program will provide free medical examination and medicines in the two districts of Trung Khanh and Quang Hoa in Cao Bang province.
