Children with disabilities in Dien Bien receive free health checkups
PANO – The Dien Bien provincial Children Protection Fund, in coordination with the provincial General Hospital, the Center II – Direct Support for Disabled Children (Dutch), and the Thuy An Rehabilitation Center for Handicapped Children, are providing free health checkups for disabled children aged 1 to 16 in Dien Bien province.
The medical program lasts from April 5-10.

After the first two days, nearly 400 children with different deformities in the districts of Muong Ang, Muong Cha, Nam Po got free health checkups and counseling.
Particularly, the cleft lips and palates, mobility impairments, post-burn sequel, ear and eye defections, benign tumors, intellectual disability and autism received special medical care.
Till April 10, the medical delegation will continue offering free health checkups to children in Muong Nhe, Dien Bien Dong districts, and Muong Lay town.
These meaningful activities contribute to helping ethnic minority children in localities of Dien Bien, especially border districts, to recover from their diseases and have a better life in the future.
