Border guards hand over houses to needy people
PANO – The Quang Tri provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Hoa district, on August 17, inaugurated and handed over three houses to poor households in Huong Lap and Huong Viet communes.

In particular, three houses were presented to poor households of Ho Van Sua and Ho Van Rao in Cu Bai village, Huong Lap commune, and an extremely difficult family of Ho Viet Lo in Xa Dung village, Huong Viet commune.
The provincial Border Guard Command and Huong Lap Border Station called on a volunteer group called “Sharing” and other benefactors to donate VND 400 million. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Hoa district contributed VND 60 million.
In addition, troops of Huong Lap Border Station donated their working days to the building of the three houses. The houses were completed after two months of construction and handed over to needy families.
As reported, local people in communes of Huong Lap and Huong Viet faced terrible consequences caused by the historical flood in October 2020.

Learning this situation, Huong Lap Border Station called for donations to residents hit by floods. As a result, the station received hundreds of gifts, worth tens of billions of VND, including food, necessities, more than 3,000 poultry and livestock (pigs, cows, goats, chickens, and ducks). Also, the station worked with relevant units to build and repair houses for local people.
