Gifts presented to needy children

During the program, the organizers presented 200 gifts, worth VND 200,000 each, including sweet, biscuits, and lanterns to local children and 12 other gifts, each valued at 500,000, to students in the programs “Supporting children to go to school” and “Adopted children of border posts.”

Apart from gifts, participating children were entertained with interesting artistic shows and joined folk games.

According to Major Cao Manh Tuan, Deputy Political Commissar Chief of Ia Rve Border Post, Ia Rve, a specially-disadvantaged border in Ea Sup district, has 2,265 households with 6,816 people. The poor households in the commune account for over 67 percent. Therefore, together with managing and protecting national borders, the border post has advised and joined hands with local party committees to develop socio-economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, as well as assist needy students to go to school.

Major Tuan added that the post is sponsoring three disadvantaged students. It has actively called on organizations and benefactors to help local people develop economy and create favorable conditions for needy children to go to school.
