Previously, at around 4 a.m. on November 4, the fishing vessel numbered QN-90046 TS carrying three crew-members named Vu Van Tung, Luong Van Giang, and Ngo Huu Tam, sank when fishing in the waters off Binh Ngoc ward of Mong Cai city.
Upon receiving the SOS call, Tra Co Border Guard Station swiftly mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene, cooperating with local fishermen to promptly rescue two crew-members and bring them safely ashore. Unfortunately, fisherman Ngo Huu Tam remains missing.
Also on November 4, the fishing vessel numbered TTH-95294 TS, captained by Mr. Tran Minh Khanh, caught fire unexpectedly while operating some 40 nautical miles from the Thuan An Estuary in Hue city. The vessel was carrying 12 crew-members at the time of the fire outbreak.
Upon discovering the fierce blaze, the crew-members managed to evacuate from the vessel using lifeboats, and they were subsequently rescued by nearby fishing boats. The Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command promptly dispatched their forces to the scene to participate in the incident response and recovery efforts.
