The compliment has been made by the Steering Committee for the implementation of the National Plan on Combat against Drug, Human Trafficking, Smuggling, Trade Fraud and Counterfeit and on Practice of Thrift and Anti-wastefulness (Steering Committee 1389 in short) of the Border Guard Command.


According to the committee, in 2018 and the first quarter of this year alone, units under the Border Guard Command organized more than 20,000 meetings participated by more than 1 million people in border areas to raise their awareness of preventing crime and social evils, repaired and newly built schools, presented gifts, and provided financial assistance for localities to build “Great unity houses.”

In addition, the force also printed and distributed more than 30,000 leaflets about crime prevention, mobilized 3,000 households to settle down their lives, mobilized local people to surrender around 1,500 guns of different kinds, helped border localities to twin with their neighbors, and consolidated around 2,900 local party organizations.
