Over the past three years, in particular, their affiliated units at the grassroots level have sent more than 90 delegations to meetings to exchange information, evaluate their joint activities, and congratulate each other on their major events.
Both sides have supported each other in developing socio-economy and local social order with practical activities such as establishing twinning relations between nine pairs of communes and villages, contributing to consolidating their solidarity and friendship and building up the shared borderline of peace and solidarity.
Colonel Touch Sa Ry, Commander of Battalion 601 from the Kampot province’s Police Department, highly appreciated what the Kien Giang provincial Border Guard Command has done for them. Especially, the Vietnamese force has sponsored 10 needy students in Kampot and Takeo province, contributing to beautifying the Vietnam-Cambodia solidarity and neighborhood.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Kien Giang provincial People’s Committee Pham Vu Hong underlined the outcomes of the province’s border guard force in implementing border external affairs to firmly protect security and sovereignty in the country’s Southwestern border areas, seas, and islands.
