Binh Duong province’s contributors gather in Hanoi
PANO – On behalf of the Ministry of National Defense (MND), Major General Tran Quoc Dung, Head of the Department of Policy under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, hosted a reception for national contributors from Binh Duong province on Dec. 15 during their visit to Hanoi.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy-Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong province Nguyen Ngoc Hang highlighted the great achievements recorded by the Party Committee, authorities and people of the province during the resistance wars against foreign invaders.
At present, they continue promoting the traditions of the province and making contributions to the local development, he added.
Binh Duong province currently has over 53,000 policy beneficiaries including 5,000 wounded soldiers and 2,102 Vietnamese heroic mothers (81 of them still alive).
During the meeting, General Dung also briefed the delegation on gratitude activities of the whole army, especially on the occasion of the recent 70th Vietnamese Wounded Soldiers' and Martyrs' Day.
At the get-together, the national contributors expressed their pleasure at the care of the MND and pledged to further uphold the province’s tradition to contribute to the local socio-economic development.
