The senior official and his entourage expressed deep gratitude to Vietnamese heroic mothers and fallen soldiers. Deputy PM Binh then visited the Museum of Vietnamese heroic mothers.

* The same day, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam and a government delegation visited and offered gifts to national contributors’ families in Kon Tum province. Mr. Dam inquired after and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mother Y Noi, whose only son died during the resistance war against American invaders, and to wounded soldier, hero of the People’s Armed Forces Y Buong. On this occasion, Deputy PM Dam offered incense at the Ngoc Hoi War Cemetery, attended an inauguration ceremony for the memorial for fallen soldiers who died in the Mau Than Campaign in 1968 and Xuan He (Spring-Summer) Campaign in 1972, and toured the Kon Tum Prison and Kon Tum Museum

* On July 24, Military Region 5 held a ceremony to honor and offer gifts to national contributors and fallen soldiers’ relatives in its stationed area. The military region’s relevant agencies provided allowances to 4,756 national contributors, repaired and built over 4,842 gratitude houses, worth VND 90 billion in total, and conducted a wide range of other meaningful activities to care for beneficiaries.

* The Military Region 9 Command and Party Committee organized a similar event to honor 190 national contributors and fallen soldiers’ relatives in the locality.

* Meanwhile delegations of the Military Region 1 Command visited and offered gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at the convalescent centers for national contributors in Thuan Thanh (Bac Ninh province), Lang Giang (Bac Giang), and Duy Tien (Ha Nam) and at Military Hospital 110. The military region presented  VND 10 million to  each locality and each unit while presenting nearly 200 gifts, worth VND 1 million each,  to individuals.

* These days, military units and localities conducted gratitude activities to pay tribute to national contributors nationwide in commemoration of 70 years of the Vietnam Wounded Soldiers’ and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947).
