Army Corps 15’s unit supports needy households
PANO – A delegation of Company 74 (Army Corps 15), led by its Director, Colonel Nguyen Van Hung, on July 30 visited and offered rice, fish sauce and clothing to needy people in la Chia commune, la Grai district, Gia Lai province, to help them overcome difficulties during the interval between the two rice crops.
Tang village is home to 40 households with 122 leprosy-infected people. Over the past time, many of them have been cured of the illness, thanks to the good care of the Party, State and authorities at all levels.

However, they still face hardships in life, especially during the seasonal interval between rice crops.
The military unit visited the village to encourage needy local households and granted 20 kilograms of rice and a liter of fish sauce to each, and offered more than 100 sets of clothing to them. The donation of the ice, fish sauce and clothing was made possible thanks to the funding of the unit’s troops.
Earlier, the company had built and handed over a fully-furnished cultural house, worth VND 1 billion, to the village.
This meaningful and practical support of the unit has helped ease difficulties for local people and cement the military-civilian ties.
