In the program, the joint agencies handed over 200 gifts, including rice, instant noodles, and other necessities to the recipients. They also provided health examination, medicines and health consultation to local people. The total expense for such meaningful activities was VND 110 million.

The program was among a wide range of activities in celebration of the 135th birth anniversary of Late State President Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 1888 - 2023), and 78th founding anniversary of An Giang provincial armed forces (August 26, 1945 - 2023).

The activities helped promote responsibility of troops and good tradition of the military and good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, consolidate the close relationship between troops and people, and realize the social security policy. They also demonstrated that the military joins hands with the community to care for policy families and disadvantaged people in Phu Hoi border areas to help them stabilize their life.
