Women advancement and gender equality work inspected in Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command
PANO – A delegation of the Board for Women Advancement under the Ministry of National Defense, led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs, inspected the implementation of the women advancement and gender equality work in the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command, on October 23.
During the 2021-2023 period, the work has been comprehensively and effectively implemented by the border unit, with some exceeded targets.

Besides, many effective models and initiatives have been carried out such as “Paving the way to school for children - Adopted children of border posts” program, accompanying border women, and handing over livelihood models, among others, to help women develop household economy.

Concluding the inspection, Gen. Gau acknowledged and hailed the achievements of the unit in implementing the women advancement and gender equality work, asking them to continue to pay attention to this field and educate female officers to raise the rate of women participating in party committees at all levels.

He also noted that the local border guards should take care of troops’ families, thereby they would try their best during their task implementation.
