Since 2021, the women advancement and gender quality work in the military has been comprehensively carried out and obtained practical results. Notably, the building and development of female officials have been paid much attention to. Women serving in the military have continued to prove their role and made practical contribution to various fields, particularly U.N. peacekeeping operations.

Regarding key tasks in the 2023-2025 period, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Huy Vinh required units and agencies in the whole military to promote information dissemination and education to raise officers and soldiers’ awareness of and heighten their responsibility in women advancement and gender equality work while paying attention to selecting and training female officials, and encouraging them to study hard to enhance their capability, to name but a few.

At the conference, the Board for Women Advancement presented certificates of merit to 52 collectives, including the People’s Army Newspaper, and 45 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the women advancement and gender quality in the 2021-2023 period.
