Speaking at the conference, Senior Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Head of the Military Women Advisory Board, underlined that in 2024, the women advancement and gender equality work in the military was comprehensively carried out and obtained practical results.

Meanwhile, the Women’s Union chapters of units effectively implemented their role as the representatives, caring for and protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of women and children. Female officers and members heightened their responsibility and determination to complete all assigned missions.
Regarding orientations and tasks in 2025, the Board for Women Advancement defined that it should continue to enhance information dissemination and education to raise troops and people’s awareness of gender equality and gender-based violence prevention and response.
In addition, the unit should ensure equality between men and women in terms of opportunities, participation and benefits in all fields, and implement measures to reduce cases of military officers violating laws and discipline related to women and children.
Praising the positive outcomes obtained by the board in 2024, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Quang Minh required the unit to strictly implement the guidelines, viewpoints and policies of all levels; enhance leadership and direction of the party committees, political commissars, commanding officers and the Board for Women Advancement at all levels in implementing policies and laws related to gender equality.

Meanwhile, the board should pay more attention to the building, development, and training of contingents of servicewomen; innovate the contents, information dissemination and education methods to raise troops, Women's Union members and workers in the military in gender equality, among others.
