On March 2 and 3, at Lai Hoa commune of Vinh Chau town, Lai Hoa Border Post under the Soc Trang provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the local authorities, launched a Whole People’s Border Guard festive Day. In 2022, the commune was chosen to organize the program.

Addressing the event, Standing Vice Chairman of Vinh Chau town People’s Committee Phan Vinh Tung hailed the role and responsibility of border guards in general, and Lai Hoa Border Post in particular, affirming that they have made great contribution to the local poverty reduction and promoting dissemination to raise the local awareness via many practical events.
* In Binh Thuan province, a similar program took place widely along the local borderline. During the event, a conference was organized to review a year of the implementation of the Whole People’s Border Guard Day as well as the movement of the whole people taking part in protecting national sovereignty and border security. In addition, sports and cultural activities were also hosted.
On this occasion, needy and policy households received gifts while impoverished students were granted with scholarships. The organizing panel took this occasion to disseminate information about the national border sovereignty to the border people.
* On the same day, at Tam Quan Nam ward of Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province, the provincial Border Guard Command in coordination with the local authorities observed the Whole People’s Border Guard Day.
During the program, authorized by the Ministry of National Defense, the Vietnam Border Guard Command and the provincial people’s committee and border guard command presented certificates of merit to outstanding individuals with remarkable achievements in the law dissemination work in the 2017-2021 tenure.
Meanwhile, Hoai Nhon town’s People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals in implementing Prime Minister’s Directive 01.
