During the five-day competition, snipers competed in three stages with 10 shooting events.
According to Captain Hoang Van Duy, member of the Army Officer Candidate School No.1 team and the gold medal winner of the first stage, each shooting event had a different difficulty level and required much experience of each sniper as well as smoothy collaboration among members of a team.
Meanwhile, Senior Colonel Pham Trong Khang, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Commando Corps, held that due to the difficulty of each shooting event, his unit had organized competitions from the grass-roots level to select the best athletes to send to the whole-military competition.
The competition took place at a time when the whole military units have just begun their new year training and amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the organizers overcame difficulties and fulfilled all preparation, contributing to the success of the event.
