MR7 kicks off Sniper Frontier 2022
PANO – The Military Region 7 (MR7) Command, on February 14, held a ceremony to launch the Sniper Frontier contest in 2022.
MR7’s Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff Major General Dang Van Hung and its Deputy Political Commissar Major General Do Van Banh attended the event.

The competition attracts the participation of eight teams, including four from Division 5, and four from Division 302, the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command, Reconnaissance Battalion 47, and Commando Battalion 60.
According to the contest’s regulations, each team has 11 athletes including four major snipers aging from 18 to 35. The participants will compete in 10 shooting exercises over three periods. The event is scheduled to last until February 16.
Addressing the event, General Hung underlined that the competition aims to raise the comprehensive quality, combat strength of the region. Therefore, all participants should do their utmost to achieve the best results.

Meanwhile, the jury and relevant forces should promote their responsibility and make good preparation for the event, ensure safety and observe COVID-19 prevention and control regulations, he concluded.
