Whole army tank-armored technical contest opens
PANO - The Arm-level Technical Department under the General Technical Department on July 27 kicked off the 2017 whole army tank-armored technical contest at Naval Brigade 147.
36 participating units are divided into four groups, namely military region-level tank-armored units; corps-level motorized infantry regiments and brigades, tank-armored arm, and marine brigades; stand-alone tank-armored battalions; and armored companies at province and city level (each military region chose one armored company to join in the contest).
Naval Region4’s Brigade 101 and Naval Region 1’s Brigade 147 also competed in the event.
During the nearly two-month long contest, units will compete in such contents as good weapons and technical equipment and good exploitation of them, technical days’ activities and service stations, technical innovation initiatives and test in weapons and equipment concepts.
The closing ceremony will be held in late this September at Tank-Armored Brigade 574 of Military Region 5.
The contest aimed to unite perceptions in regular building of the tank-armored sector, improve quality and technical condition of weapons and technical equipment and promote practical capability of tank-armored units in the army.
