VVA convenes sixth national congress
PANO - The sixth National Congress of the Vietnam War Veterans' Association (VWVA) took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense on December 14.
The
congress reviewed the implementation of
the fifth congress’s resolution while discussing plans, tasks and
solutions for the new term, as well as
will elect a new executive board for the 2017-2022 term.
As
many as 516 veteran delegates, representing nearly three million members of
the association nationwide, join the event.
Previously,
the delegates laid wreaths and offered incense at the Monument for Heroic
Martyrs on Bac Son street, Ba Dinh district, and paid tribute to late President
Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi.
