Vietnam Border Guard Command honors outstanding, promising military youths in 2022

Addressing the event, Major General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, applauded the remarkable achievements obtained by border youths in 2022.

The youths’ practical deeds have made an important contribution to the entire force to firmly protect national sovereignty and border security while building a strong border guard force, he added.

At the event, the Vietnam Border Guard Command honored ten outstanding and ten promising young border faces. They were good examples in taking the lead in carrying out missions in all fields, devoting their talent, knowledge to the military and country. In particular, they heightened vigilance, prevented and fought against crime and law violations, actively assisted locals in overcoming the consequences of flooding. Especially, among the honored there were youths having overcame difficulties and dangers to complete the humanitarian assistance and earthquake disaster relief mission in Turkey.

At the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Anh Tuan required the honored youths to continue training and studying hard, upholding the good traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army, and being good examples and accomplishing all assignments, contributing to building “exemplary and typical” units, successfully implementing the task of protecting and managing national territorial sovereignty and border security, and building a strong border guard force.
